How Bill Smooth works

Bill Smooth ensures you will never pay your bills late again by:

  • combining your payments into one smaller and more manageable amount that you put aside every pay day to cover them
  • reminding you when payments are due so you can go into your account and pay them on time
  • giving you real-time analytics about your payments in an easy-to-read format.

You can also disable the smoothing feature if you want to use Bill Smooth as a bill reminder app only.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You input all your payments, including bills, school fees, fuel and even things you want to save for, like a holiday or car.
  2. Bill Smooth calculates how much you need to put aside each pay day to cover them.
  3. You transfer that amount into a bank account of your choice every pay day.
  4. When the bills arrive, you have the funds to pay them.
  5. Bill Smooth advises you how much to top up your account every pay day based on what payments are coming up. It also displays your future top-ups one year in advance.

Note: Currently you can’t pay your bills within Bill Smooth, but we’re working hard to provide this feature soon!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Bill Smooth different from a bill reminder app?

Reminder apps just tell you when bills are due. Our app provides bill smoothing and budgeting capability. It calculates one small amount to set aside regularly for all your upcoming payments. This splits or smooths a bill into smaller, more manageable amounts, and ensures you always have the money to pay it.

Does Bill Smooth cost any money?

No. Bill Smooth is completely free with no ads or subscriptions. With the future integration of bill payment within the app, we hope to charge utilities for the benefit of having their bills being paid on time. However, we will make every effort to keep this service free to all users.

Can Bill Smooth access my bank accounts?

No. Our budgeting and bill smoothing app just tells you how to manage the money in your bank accounts. We hope to automate transfers for you soon.

Can I access the money I put aside?

Yes. Your money stays in a bank account that you control, so you can access it if necessary. If you remove any money, Bill Smooth will recalculate and adjust your top up instalments accordingly.

Can I use Bill Smooth in any country?
